												Elective Caesarian Section.

									Pregnancy History
									
										
Mary was a primipara who was discovered to have a twin pregnancy on initial scan.  Early pregnancy progressed normally.She was noted to be AB rhesus negative.Antenatal serology was all normal, sche is sickle cell negative.  At 34 weeks Mary's blood pressure was noticed to be slightly raised at 130/85. This was closely monitored over the next few weeks, and it was decided to bring Mary in for elective section at 38 weeks.
									
								
							
							
								
								
									
									
									Operative Course
									
										
											
												Lower Uterine segment Caesarian Section on 22-Sep-2006.
											
											Spinal Anaesthesia.
											Closure with absorbable Vicryl.
											Twin delivery both babies fit and well.
										
									
								
							
							
								
								
									
									
									Post Operative Course
									
										
											Mary has progressed well post op, her blood pressure remained stable through out.  At time of discharge her sutures were clean, her uterus resorbing well.  She still had some PV discharge but this is decreasing.
											She commenced breast feeding the twins.
											Contraceptive advise was given.
